Ashcroft School is a truly special and unique place , providing consistant personalised support and meaningful education to a group of up to 45 children and young people.Specialising in helping children and young people with complex behavioural , emotional ,social, and additional needs which may have been a result of severe neglect ,bereavement or trauma and abuse. The school is a safe, positive and flexible enviroment which significantly improves the learning and social outcomes of the kids.
My colleagues and I were immediately struck by this wonderful inspiring charity and the work that they do . We were given the opportunity to see first hand how our continued support could directly help make a valuble difference to all at the school. We received a very warm welcome from all .Seeing for ourselves how passionate ,enthusiastic and proud everbody was of the school and all it achieves on a daily basis.
We throughly enjoyed a tour of the school ,the visit ended with myself and my colleagues being treated to tea, coffee and cakes made by the young people themselves .All in all a fantastic day , so a huge thanks to everyone at Ashcroft School for making us feel so welcome and we look forward to seeing you all again soon .
Plans are now being made to continue our support for the remaining part of 2014.
